From a silent retreat to revolutionizing eyewear in Malaysia.
The Vow of Silence
Mike and Jordan met at a Vipassana meditation retreat in 2025. They were both monks for 10 days, a vow of silence meant no speaking, not even eye contact. They woke up at 4am sharp every morning, meditated for 12 hours a day, and slept by 9pm.
On the final day, when silence broke, they became good friends and promised they would stay in touch and launch a business together. With Mike owning 3 successful optical shops in Johor, and Jordan being a seasoned Software Engineer, they set out to combine their skills to create 100glasses.
